This week for my Explorer Minecraft I created and fixed up the minor details on my ship and underground house. I added another color of wood to add visual effects to the ship. I also added lights and extended the roof on my underground house. It is a representation of how he studied things underwater because I wasn't able to make a submarine after making my ship. I also made the water deeper so that you can tell that the house was underwater. Though he did not literally live and dwell beneath the ocean, it is a representation to how he spent his life in the exploration of the depths of the unknown. I laid down a foundation for what will be his house/museum, with all of his findings and drew up a picture and blueprint for the house. I made sure to measure it out to make sure that I had enough space for everything in the area. I didn't get a chance to actually start construction, but I needed a stable foundation for the different floors that the house/ museum contained. The video shows of the slightly hap hazardous way that the blocks were placed because of how long it was taking. The videos, not quite of the best quality, are of the construction and fails of the buildings in my Minecraft world.

For this first week I began construction on my ship. This ship was to show how most of his life was spent on and in the ocean. He started in the French Naval forces from a young age and continued his exploration from there. The project, though it may not look perfect, is definitely a work in progress. The ship is still a little too small and does not have enough space in the corner. On the inside are shelves and rooms for his office and study. Through his exploration he spent most of his time away from home and either on or in the ocean. |
