My project is about us trying to help out Hawaiʻiʻs reefs and ecosystem while also preserving the culture of our ancestors. We are going to pae pae o Heʻeia, a fishpond in Kāneʻohe. There we are going to help them clear invasive species, and help in other ways. This is important, because many people fell that fishponds are useless had have no point. They are very important, because they are like a link to the past, the native Hawaiians had these fishponds, and relied on them. So, when you go to one it is like you are in their shoes. This links to our country because, in Portugal, they have reefs that have been destroyed by buildings and pollution.
