It is May 2nd and a little has changed with the Warriors for Change. We pushed the even to this weekend because of person conflicts with the weekend. We are certain and 100% to get it done this weekend. Weʻre doing the even at half time of one of our soccer games. So that we don't have to worry about equipment or people showing up because there will already be tons of people there.

It is the 24th of April and it is a monday. Warriors for change are soon to do our project this weekend. Things have been a little hectic because of plans changing and not being able to get the permit. But weʻre very excited to finally do our project and we canʻt wait to see the turn out. But weʻre even more excited to be working with Special Olympics and be able to give back to our communities. Our project is aligned with being a Global Citizen because weʻre putting others before ourselves and we are including ourselves in a greater cause. For example, are that weʻre raising money and donating it to SOH.It is Thursday April 6th and Warriors for change have made great progress since the last update. First off, we changed our project from a soccer/football camp to a shoot-a-thon. Where anyone can come and they shoot from 1-2 minutes against a goal keeper. Each goal can be from 2-5$'s depending on what their sponsor wants to donate. Any ages are welcome, the money will be donated to Special Olympic Hawaii. We decided to do this because we would be able to hit a larger range of kids and make more money to donate.
Itʻs been about a week and not much has happened since the last update. But weʻre going to call Special Olympics soon and get in touch with them about getting shirts for a lower and better price. But weʻre still in the process of making our final lists of volunteers for the camp. We sent out the emails to people asking for volunteers and not much has gotten back to us but we still have a little time.
There hasnʻt been that much change within our Warriors For Change project. But weʻve got in contact with Special Olympics and theyʻve emailed us for us to call them next week as a group. So that we can talk about getting shirts for a better price, rather then trying to get it on our own through another business. Weʻre also on the path to getting our volunteers list. Things are going well, everything is going as planned but we still need to get a lot of things finalized.
My name is Hayley Silipa and Iʻve been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. Iʻve also been playing for Kamehamehaʻs soccer team since i was in the 7th grade. I was born and raised in Nānākuli and I am the oldest of 4, 2 boys and 2 girls. This project gives me the chance to be the change that I wish to see in the world, and to also give back to my community.
