This Kahiau project has helped me to understand the concept of being a global citizen by actually getting me out in the community. In our world history class we learned about wars and how they start. Frankly, they all began because people were only thinking of themselves.
In the beginning, our group expected to make a huge difference for our organization. We realized it is a lot more difficult than we thought, if we want to make any difference. Next time we should make our group more independent because a lot of the time we were waiting on other people.

Our deadline for the ticket sales are coming up this week. I am so excited to see that we have made some progress for the Poi Dogs and Popoki. Hopefully it will also come together.
Our project has to do with global citizenship because our group is helping animals. I believe that by helping one animal you are helping all. Animals are a big piece of a lot of people's lives. Our project helps a non-profit organization fulfill their part in saving animals. Right now, we are helming one organization, close to home, and in no way are we making a difference worldwide. However, with our help animals will receive the care they deserve and it will teach people the right way to treat an animal. I believe our project will not only help a small organization but educate the rest of the population. I have always loved and cared for animals so this project does mean a lot to me. I can't wait to help out this organization, poi dogs and popoki.
Well I am proud to say we have taken ourselves out of the slump we were in. We have moved in to the fundraising zone. We can not wait to continue to help out poi dogs and popoki. In the end we should have raised $500 and we will donate our time, toys, food/treats, and love for the animals.
Well our project has really hit a slump. We waited patiently for the approval of our t-shirt design but we haven't heard back about it. Our group has been spamming each other with ideas on how we are going to raise money for our organizations. We just want to help make a difference for our organization. We are willing to give up our weekends to get whatever we need done. I am still in touch with the leader of the organization. I hope we can get something together for her.
This week we are still waiting for the approval of our t-shirt design. We can only really get started with our project once the design is complete.AN UPDATE ON LAST WEEK....
We turned in our T-shirt design. Now we are waiting for our school to approve the design. My group accomplished getting our shirt design in. Now all we have to do is wait for approval and then we can sell it around school. We also formatted our receipts. My group is on task and on time. Over the break we switched organizations. The OSPCA wouldn't call us back so I got in contact with Poi dogs and Popoki. They were much easier to work with.
