-What are some examples of how Capitalism & corporate economics (Walmart/Walgreens/Target, etc) is creating challenges in your own island, community, state, nation that relates to this UN Goal / Issue?
I believe that these companies are in fact helping with my selected U.N goal because they distribute cat food and other care supplies for animals. -Why is this something to consider: Do you see a specific (friends or family you know) with a personal connection to these issues that connect with poverty or other social challenges (and please try to find at least one) - what/who is it and why? I have friends that have personal connections to stray cats due to their love for cats. However, they can't connect with poverty or social challenges. -What, if anything, are you learning about how economic trends impact your Global issue and how has your understanding of the impacts of it perhaps influenced the way you see your group topic as a worthwhile challenge or problem to be addressed? When people can't afford to care for their pets they are often neglected leading to an increase in stray animal population. That makes it even more worthwhile to address. During winter break I was unable to recall what I needed to get done thus causing me to not complete any work or make progress. As a group, we never planned anything or completed any actions due to being on winter break.
