WEEK #1
Our class just began learning how to use Minecraft, we were able to watch tutorials and learn from our teacher also. This week, we started to get the gist of things and how exactly to build/explore. Being a beginner in the game was a little rough at first, but with the help of a fellow student, Matthew, I was able to pick it up pretty swiftly. After our first practice run, I was able to make a lot of progress and build most of my landscaping. The building of the ocean scenery was a bit hard, but in the end it came out better than expected. Then at the very end of the week, we started to work on the world we will actually turn it at the end.
WEEK #2
We continued working on our new world. The whole process became much easier and faster. Although, the progress I made wasn't as much as I would've liked, but that's okay. The space that I am currently using was already occupied by another student prior to me being there, so digging up what was there before me was very time consuming and took up almost an entire period. It wasn't just dirt or grass that I had to dig up, but water. Water takes more time to take away than anything else because you have to build over it first and then knock down the unnecessary slabs that you had built over it. Again, with just my luck, a few experienced students were able to take time out of their building an assist me with building my house/lab. Thankfully, I did get a decent mount of work done this week, which was good in my situation.
