This project has helped me understand being a global citizen because I, as well as my group, made a difference in our society. This connected to what we learned about being a leader in our world history class. For example, we followed some of the leader traits we created in the beginning of the year. Our project is important to me because we, as a group, are making a difference that will help many people at a time. We are making a difference that will progress our community in a positive way. If the people need the blood, then it will be there for them. We can help end the suffering people go through when there is not blood available to them. I want to help them get the help they need and inspire others to do the same.

Our project is aligned with being a global citizen because we, as a group, are making a difference that will help many people at a time. We are making a difference that will progress our community in a positive way. This affects me personally because it ensures that my health will be safe. If people like us continue to give back to the blood bank, then when I need it then I know that it will be there for me. This goes the same for my community. If the people need the blood, then it will be there for them.My group and I are planning on scheduling another blood drive where we are all physically participating.
Over the past months, we've been progressing our research to find what the blood bank does, how the blood is distributed and how our actions have helped others.

AuthorMy name is Mahea Aki. I am from the island of Kaua'i. I am in the 10th grade, attending Kamehameha Schools. Why the project is important to me...
This project is important to me because many people out there are dying from blood loss and there isn't enough blood to supply them. I want to help them get the help they need and inspire others to do the same. |
