What was planned over break was to give or start a can food drive for the homeless. This was something that happened at the church once or twice a month. I was supposed to contribute and give canned goods, but this event didnʻt take place because of our pastor/priest was gone for a trip.
What went well was prepping and knowing what to do next time. Although we did do something similar, we made a lot of food and had the church open for free food. This took place for a couple hours and where free to anyone who were hungry. What could've went better was doing my project more at break and videoing more content. My understanding of poverty is well developed. Moving house to house as a kid gave me an understanding that some people donʻt have a lot of money. Poverty definitely happens because people are forced to work many hours a week to survive on there home. Yes my leadership skills have been improved because you have to step out of your comfort zone to do this kahiau project. By stepping out of your comfort zone and giving people food for me as an example helps leadership skills for further experiences. When offering food as a kid can affect that person different ways. |
