Asia Hawaii Africa
Homelessness is an issue that plagues society all around the globe. From Asia to Africa, and even our home land of Hawaii, homelessness affects many, and their needs to be more of an effort to help these people. That's where we come in. Dropping in 5 is a community service project by 4 high school students, dedicated to helping the homeless in their time of need. Ocean Aila, Seth Goulet, Damon Lee "Kai" Magdirila, and Jordan "Makana" Domingo will work together in giving to the homeless of our community.
We plan to use our combined power to give the homeless care packages. These packages will be filled with goods and items that they can use to groom themselves and keep warm in the winter.
Non-Profit
Our non-profit organization is Catholic Charities Hawaii. Specifically, the housing and homeless solutions. They provide transitional housing, housing placement, counseling, material and financial assistance, case management, employment training, budgeting and tenant education. We choose this non-profit because they had a lot of great reviews and they seem to be making a positive difference in the community.
