How did the shift from the Agricultural Revolution to the Industrial Revolution create our "challenge" in my ancient empire?
The Russian Empire had trouble finding places to dump waste from their constant wars. Eventually leading to them poisoning their own water sources do to irresponsible dumping of toxic waste.

How does the ongoing flux of the Industrial age continue to impact our "challenge" in its current national form?
Russiaʻs surface and groundwater has been polluted and contains toxic substances that exceed Russiaʻs safety standards. Samples taken from a riverbank contained high levels of sulfur, oil, heavy metals, and aluminum. Moscowʻs drinking water is currently being taken from upstream locations that are cleaner, but the risk of the water being polluted is still high. Soil and groundwater samples found concentrations of copper, lead, manganese, and zinc.

How does this impact our "challenge" in its local version of Hawaiʻi nei?
This hugely impacts our challenge in Hawaii because of how unhealthy our farming is now. Sometimes farm waste can escape the farms and all of the antibiotics that are used in those farms find their way into the ocean. One time there was a waste spill in North Carolina and they ended up spilling around 25 million gallons of manure into lakes and rivers. Farms also contribute to around 18% of greenhouse gases. This raises ocean temperatures.
