Rather then end all wars, it was the foothold of all wars. WWI is what set into motion all of the conflicts to come for the world and its people. Yes it does, for its people fighting for their ideals and culture. They want to protect what they find sacred and remove all that stands against that. Its a threat because we could be taken away of our greatest weapon, our voice. If we cannot voice out, whats the point of freedom? I agree with it as of now, but it most definitely can be improved upon and upgraded.
The top three hot spots of the cold war were Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam. The Korean war was what broke out the civil war and soon the Cold War, many lives were lost for very little gain. The cuban missile crisis was a big deal. Keeping them from going communist was a great deal for the missile power that the country had would be a giant problem for the US. Vietnam was one of the United States' greatest failures. The US failed to stop Vietnam from becoming communist and failed to defeat them.

There are a lot of connections between our kahiau project and impacts of world war 1 and 2. The War to CHANGE all ars! Began with an Act of Terrorism - Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand Colonies and Spheres of Influence Two philosophers that had a great impact were Isaac Newton and Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706, in Boston Massachusetts and later became the man known for creating the lightning rod and the theory for conducting electricity. A very inspiring quote from him is “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” Isaac Newton was also a great philosopher in his time and still is. He was born on January 4, 1643, in Woolsthorpe, U.K. He eventually went to Trinity College (1667-1668) He went on to invent what is now known as Newton’s law of motion, the law of universal gravitation and inertia. Carving the pathway for many scientists that have come after him. An inspiring quote from him is “If I have ever seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” These people definitely impacted what we are doing today in our lāhui maybe not by what they did but definitely by how they acted and what they said. For instance, Benjamin Franklins quote “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” We are literally making history as we speak so it’s either stand up or be forgotten. I by far do not want to be forgotten. Isaac Newton also has a very relevant quote “If I have ever seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” This perfectly reflects the values of teamwork. And how to work together. It is basically saying that if he was ever above any else it was because of the endless help and support of the peers alongside him. The theories and inventions that these philosophers have created impact not only our group but the world because not a single person is able to ignore the reality of the theories they created. That is what makes them so undeniable. “It is not enough to have a good mind: the main thing is to use it well.” - Rene Descartes
How does their contribution impact your project? We may be the smartest people in the world, we may know how to solve all the world’s pollution problems but if we choose not to do the work then we mine as well be a couch potato. “I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.” - John Stuart How does their contribution impact your project? I think it teaches you that if you have too many goals then you won’t be able to complete a single one. But if you stick to just one you are bound to complete it without question In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present. How does their contribution impact your personal values as a leader? This impacts my personal values as a leader because it shows that you have to persevere through all the bad times that happens in your life, and personally I believe on of my values as a leader is perseverance. Since there is darkness, there will be light so we need to persevere through it. “I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than in attempting to satisfy them.” How does their contribution impact your personal values as a leader? He contributed greatly to social and political theory. There were multiple things this semester that affected the growth of my leadership knowledge. A lot of the activities we did really helped with expanding my knowledge of what good leadership is and the effects of it. One of the activities that really helped was like all the Kahiau Projects that we did. They really expanded my knowledge and made me make connections that I never knew were possible. The thing that affected my motivations the most this semester has to be my parents. My parents are the ones who really help me strive for the peak and do my best that I can do. They really support and tell me to get back on task if I am being distracted. I am really get all my motivation to succeed from them and don’t know what i’d do without there help. They are my main source and my life. We planned to do a beach clean up with an organization over the break. That never happened and we ended up doing nothing though Genesis did a park clean up thing.
Picking up trash went well and trying to work together. We could have actually done it and not have not done it. Yes my sense of poverty is improving a lot. It is expanding a lot due to my learning more of the things we are learning. |
