This project has helped me to understand what it is to become a global citizen because we are helping those in need. Also it helped me to understand what it to become a action researcher because we found a problem made a plan and tried to help fix the problem. I learned to look at things from different perspectives because my mom is a teacher at Waianae elementary and she says that they are underfunded and barely have enough school supplies. I often see the kids as something to pity not care about but now Ia care. I expected to get only a little bit of people to donate and I was right. It matter to plan ahead because it makes like a lot easier. We could have tried to advertise it more.

This project is allied with being a global citizen because its helping people that we don't know. Its a global citizen project because we believe that we can make a difference in the community even if its small. Also because it shows empathy for the less fortunate. This affects me because I come from a low income and i needed school supplies that my family couldn't afford but now i can help those in need. It affects my community because some people have shame if they don't have the stuff they need and don't want to school. It also affect my community because it will hopefully try to get others to fundraise for school supplies too. Finally its affect my community because teachers will have at least something because our education system is incredibly underfunded.I bought some school supplies to donate to ourselves just in case no one comes and so we have something to donate.Tyson got the Tent and sign so we would have what we need to set up shop.we all talked together to find out who we are going to donate to, due to change of plans Tyson called different places to see if we can give to themI have been contacting orginizations to find out if we can get permission to donate to kamaʻaina kids
