The world did not lear. the lesson from “the war to end all wars”. The world didnʻt learn because that war created new technology to make even more damage and catastrophe in wars. This new and improved technology would be used in the wars that occured after world war 1, and each new war would make even more damage than the war before it.
This war affects our kahiau project of pollution on the earth and in the ocean. All of the new technology created from the war to end all wars would get destroyed in war and wouldnʻt get cleaned up, which would cause pollution.

One of the two biggest Industrial Revolution results that most greatly impacted/related to our Kahiau project would be the steam engine. The use of chemicals and fuels in factories caused lots of pollution and the depletion of natural resources. Another invention that affected pollution was the Newcomen atmospheric engine. Both of these engines affected the world in both positive and negative ways, both increasing efficiency of the world along with increasing pollution. The first steam engine was invented by Thomas Savery in 1698, a British inventor. The Newcomen atmospheric engine was invented by Thomas Newcomen in 1712. They are both engines that power multitudes of other inventions that required power. They continue to impact our Kahiau project by polluting the world with their negative side effects. The two propelling factors that occurred during the Era of Expansion, Exhange, and Colonization were the Silk Road and the Exchanging of Goods. The Silk Road was used by many people to travel to many other places, it also affected the Exchange of Goods because many people were able to trade on those roads and get to the places that they wanted to trade at. One propelling factors that greatly impacted our project as a result of the Era of Imperialization is that when a country takes control of another country, they have to do it through military, and the military is a main source of a lot of illegal dumpings, which leads to pollution and waste. Another factor that impacts our project is that a lot of goods were wasted due to the countries being overtaken, which also leads to more pollution in those areas and adds up more around the world

How does their contribution impact your project? We may be the smartest people in the world, we may know how to solve all the world’s pollution problems but if we choose not to do the work then we mine as well be a couch potato. “I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.” - John Stuart How does their contribution impact your project? I think it teaches you that if you have too many goals then you won’t be able to complete a single one. But if you stick to just one you are bound to complete it without question. "In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present." - Francis Bacon How does their contribution impact your personal values as a leader? This impacts my personal values as a leader because it shows that you have to persevere through all the bad times that happens in your life, and personally I believe on of my values as a leader is perseverance. Since there is darkness, there will be light so we need to persevere through it. “I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than in attempting to satisfy them.” - John Stuart How does their contribution impact your personal values as a leader? He contributed greatly to social and political theory. Over Winter break, I went out with my old Kapolei friends a lot. Almost every day that we were free, we would go out and do something. Whenever we werenʻt free, I would be home watching movies or setting up for family parties at my house. We had a party for Christmas Eve and New Yearʻs Eve. I also finishes reading Stephen Kingʻs “The Shining” over break, and then watched the movie. I think that the book was way beter than the movie. I started to read the sequel to The Shining, “Doctor Sleep”, but I want to read Carrie first. I also finished watching The Mandalorian on Disney+. I really enjoyed it, and me and my brother talked about it a lot. I watched The Rise of Skywalker and Frozen 2 in theaters. I also watched a little bit of Cats, but I left the theater because I didnʻt like it. A lot of my break consisted of me staying up late downstairs and going out with my friends and doing dumb stuff. Me and my family watched Christmas movies and ate dinner that would correlate with the movie that we were watching. Itʻs my favorite tradition that we do, but my older brother wasnʻt able to make it to every movie because he had work. I wasnʻt thinking much about schoolwork, but I did think about doing something for my community, so I told some of my old friends that we should do a beach cleanup. |
