This coming we are going to do our project finally. Pretty stoked because we have been waiting a while and we've hit a lot of bumps in the road along the way but weʻve finally made it. We are going to waipio soccer field this weekend to try and do shoot-a-thon between games raising money based on the amount of goals they make. via a shooter-donor system where the shooter shoots goals and the donor donates money. Leah will be the main person who is doing it because she was at waipio for other things, i will only able to go there for a little while because it was a little out of the way for me, and i won't a ride. Should be fun! hopefully. My only worry is making the amount of money that we want to be able to make

this project is aligned with being a global citizen because it fits many of the traits of what being a global Citizen. Be opened minded: we were unable to get volunteers in time so we decided to change our just enough in such a way that we didn’t need as much volunteers. We heard an idea that wasn’t too different from what we were already doing so we decided to do it. Effective Communication; We effectively communicated with our park representative in getting a permit for the park we wish to use. Think of other, not you self; We are doing this project to raise money Special Olympics Hawaii yeah we are great people. Act on what we believe; we believe that we will be able to make a difference through our soccer shoot-a-thon. Being a part of the Human Race; we will not discriminate against any of the people who wish to go to our shootathon no matter their race, skin color, age or nationality because we are a part of the human race and the
Unfortunately we weren't able to get the permit for our desired date. To be honest im not sure if we will be able to go through with what we currently have because our whole idea is reliant upon us getting the permit. So the plan now is to contact the HYSA head, and to ask if we can go though with our new plan of a Shoot-A-Thon during half times of peoples games. Its a hopeful idea though probably better than what we had originally planned.
Unfortunately my group wasnʻt able to get the permit. So we still need to call the women to set up a date to pick it up. Hopefully i can get my group to do it, because i am unable to do it. Being that i live very far away from where we would get it. Hopefully i can accomplish this before it is too late
Over the break we were suppose to get the permit i was in charge of it. I went the office and they told me i needed to call the park. After about week they replied and we set up most of the info for the permit. Unfortunately the place where i would have had to pick up the permit on the other side of the island from me so i was unable to grab and then talked to my group mates if they could pick it up.
Unfortunately the people whom we sent the emails out haven't replied to us. So we assume there has been some sort of technical difficulty when the email was sent. We have managed to sent up an appointment for when we will be talking with a representative of special Olympics, we will be meeting with her sometime next week. We still need to contact the park in order to get a permit for the day of the camp.
Hello my name is Welo Gosline-Niheu. I am 16 years old and a sophomore kamehameha schools kapalama. I am a student athlete, my one and only sport that i play is soccer. So far we have already sent out the email to everyone whom we want to be apart of our soccer/football camp. Majority of the responsibilities for the day of the camp have been assigned to the individual group members, i will be in charge of catering. Until more information on how many people will be coming, i wont be able to really do much in preparation.
