I think that the skills my Kumu taught us throughout this year of world history helped not only in this class but in other classes as well. As in English, I used the writing skills I learned here in that class. Also, the interesting part, or more like the thing that kept me going is how every day was something different but somehow connected to something later in the future. For example, PEEL work was the very first thing we learned and was used till the end. One new skill I learned is the writing part. I am able to get my thoughts and how to make sense of the writing in my other classes. Another skill was something I realized not until recently but just getting my work done compared to just having fun. For example, Kumu was gone for the day nothing was happening but after finishing the work I felt free and just relaxed the rest of the time.
Some interesting topics that intrigued me were the Flux theory and the Treaty of Versailles. It’s probably how we learned them or what led us to learn them but listening and talking about them during class is something that I will remember. The connection skills between our project and current day in groups were the most fun I've had, especially since I could do it with classmates. At the end of it all, I understand more about the history and current day issues.
