I think that the skills and content we’ve learned in World History this year was very valuable and interesting. I think that the topics and lessons we’ve went over was very relevant towards our modern day problems, even though that many of these events took place years ago. For instance, both wars that took place has impacted this world in ways that will never be able to easily be resolved. The rivalries and unsettled problems that has happened in the past still effects people today. With all of this said, I think that these topics and lesson should continue to be taught in generations forward in order to expand their knowledge of real world problems that took place. Two new skills that I’ve learned that I might maybe learn in another classes is the ability to use photoshop and illustrator. These types of technology is something I think will continue to be known and evolve to many people. I think what I like most about these apps is the ability to create and design things in our own way. I would definitely use these applications and skills for school projects in the future in order to promote my level of creativity.
Some interesting topics that I have learned so far are the Great Depression and the World Wars. I think that these topics are just so genuinely interesting and intriguing. The chaos that this world can have and the vulnerability that an event can cause to so many people all around the world is insane. The fact that many of these events in history happened so instant is so bizarre. These huge and impactful events in history just shows how greedy and violent this world and human beings in general are really capable of. This ties into the terrible things that are happening in our world right now that not many speak out about. The Kahiau project that we’ve been working on for a while now, connects towards skills and history and current day issues. For example, our oceans and sea life are being terribly treated because of the effects of the use of everyday materialistic things used by us. The real world problems that we are experiencing truly make the things that we learn in class much more engaging because we are able to connect and retrieve knowledge and put it to action.
