In World History, we were taught several interesting valuable skills and information through our projects, lectures, and socratic seminars. For instance, during our iLeader project, we learned how to use Photoshop and Illustrator while making our fun posters. Learning this skill was useful because now it can be utilized as another resource for other classes and projects. Another important thing we learned was how to write PEEL paragraphs. This info is useful because it helps us back up our opinions and claims properly with strong evidence. Those were just two examples of many. Clearly highlighting some of the valuable information taught in World History.
As I explained World History taught me tons of valuable information. However, I would argue that one of the most valuable lessons taught was how history applies to us now. One place in time that shows this is the World Wars. For instance, a bunch of technological advancements were made during WWII. Including nuclear weapons. These weapons were tested in the Pacific where I live. The testing done on the ʻāina resulted in massive amounts of debris and pollution, as well as Kahoʻolawe becoming an unsafe place to visit. As you can see some of the valuable things we did in World History this year were highlighted.
