January 00, 2017 - I have asked 2 people if they wanted to help out with the program, still need to hear back from them. I will continue to ask around for volunteers and help. January 17th, 2017 - Up until now I have continued asking for volunteers and people that want to help out with the program. I have two people that have said they want to help out. One as a volunteer and one as a camera sort of dude that will help me film for the video at the end. I am going to continue to ask people for volunteers, specifically for the art side of the program. January 23rd, 2017 - I got another helper for the artsy side of the program. I have asked them if they wanted to teach or help and I'm waiting for their response on that. I'm planing on planning out the supplies needed for the art side of the event, like pencils, papers, notebooks, markers, etc. January 31st, 2017 - The helpers I have for the art side is Kenney, Lily and me. I'm going to make a group chat so we can discuss what we want to do for the event. April 6th, 2017 - Over the break, we realized our project was a bit to ambitious. We have redirected our project to selling food and other items. We have decided to sell stuff to friends and family and people in our community April 17th, 2017 - We have decided to sell food on the weekends to friends and family. Now is to make the food and start selling May 5th, 2017 (REFLECTION) - This project encouraged me to be a better person overall and make me thin about others before myself. I had to be able to negotiate with people and create solutions if a problem arrived. These qualities contribute to the mind set of a Global Citizen. As I was selling my items, I noticed people were more happy as they got their piece which in turn made me happy. In the beginning I expected my big ideas would work perfectly fine but as time went on I realized how hard it is to set up some of the different aspects of a fundraiser. We had to change our ideas along the way as well. For a project like this, a set plan would have helped and if everyone stayed to the plan but we are 10th graders and our ideas change all the time. We did all we could in the time we had and made more money than I thought we would.
