Planet 911 PSA 1
Neshae:
For our 911project we created this psa addressing the topic of ocean pollution. For this project my group members were Kamahao, Jayna, Ikaika, and myself. The slogan we came up with for our issue was “oceans are getting sicker, so let’s do something quicker.” With this slogan, the message we were trying to propose was to start taking better care of the ocean, as it is harming the marine life in the ocean. My experience of working on this collaborative project was pretty good over all. Our psa did get submitted to the 911 Planet competition along with the other videos, but I am not sure how well our video did. I could improve this process of making a psa on a second try by planning a little more before starting the video making process. Although we had a plan, I don’t think it was very set in stone and specific in what we were doing. Maybe next time I would make a better plan and put more effort into the project overall.

Treysen:
For my 911 project group we focused on the issue of poverty. My group members included Keola, Dakota, Jayce and myself. Our slogan was “A nation cannot develop if it has poverty! Do a good deed, help someone in need. Don't ignore people, just because they are poor; help them.” I think that by doing this collaboration was a good stepping stone for myself. It was an introduction into how I could work with people in group projects. Our project was submitted to the 911 website but I don’t know how well it did. I think one thing I could improve on when doing something similar like this project is having more preportation to do the project as well as putting more effort into it.

My group was Christian, Leilani, Khyren, Meilina, and Pk. Our topic was about ocean pollution and we wanted to spread knowledge about ocean pollution in a way that was catchy and easy for people to remember. The slogan we chose was, “Turtles in plastic aren't very ecstatic!” My experience with this project was great. Doing these sorts of things forces people who might not work together normally to find similarities in their beliefs and try to turn that into something. We got to collaborate, share ideas that others didnʻt think of, and many more. I think we got our PSA turned in for the PSA Competition, but I think we didnʻt win because of a couple things we missed. I think we did great, but didnʻt make the whole criteria. Learning from my first project, I think the next time we should try and go over it as a group to see if it flows and makes sense.

Kapono:
The people in my group were Tylie, Apuakea, and Kaiao. My group's topic was climate change especially in our oceans. My group's slogan was “It’s happening here, it’s happening now.” and the message our group was trying to propose were the effects of Warming oceans, Air temperature increases, Coral bleaching, and that No task is too big when done together by all. -If everyone contributes to the task, it lightens the load. My experience of working on this collaborative project was that everyone we worked with well and were able to communicate pretty well. My experience was that everyone contributed equally. It did get submitted into the Planet911 competition and I donʻt remember if we won or not. I don't know how we got into the competition. They just said they liked our video. I would improve it by not making it a competition.
