We researched the Ottoman empire, and I researched the founder of it, Osman I. He was born in 1258 and died in 1324. The ottoman empire was an agrarian city under his watch. I chose to represent him by the balance in his left hand that represents fairness. According to his people he was a very fair king and wanted everybody to be equal. He got respect by being a kind and fair leader as long as you respected him and his decisions. He handed out food and clothes off his back to the poor. The people thought he was a good man and that is why he built in empire, because he had the people behind him. (Kiaʻi Kawai)
For my empire, I studied Sultan Murad of the Ottoman Empire. He was born in 1326 and died around 1389. I compared and contrasted him to Hawaiian leader, George Helm.
