In the beginning, we had to think of things that we could write on the letter that wouldn't make the kids feel more sad than they already do. I wasnʻt sure how they would feel towards certain things being said, so we couldn't write things that were too deep because it might have made them sad. I had to look at things from the perspective of the kids in order to understand what I should and shouldn't write.
Over all I think our project was a very nice and thoughtful project. I feel like we impacted the kids at Kapiolani Medical center by encouraging them to be whatever they want because they are good enough, and just because they have a sickness, they shouldn't let that stop them from doing what they dream of doing. I think our project did really good and we did really good.

This project allows us to consider ourselves global citizens because we are making a difference in the happiness of sick children who are suffering from severe illness. I feel that this is not the biggest thing we could do, but it is still enough to consider ourselves as being global citizens because we are showing care towards others to result in the achievement of making this world a better place. In order to make the world a better place we need to start with the younger generations and show them what kindness is and how to care about others. We need to start with younger generations so they can learn that not everyone and everything in this world is bad, and that as small as they are, they can have the potential to make a change. The younger generations are our future, so if we want to make a difference in the future of our world, we need to ensure that there is a positive future that will come with the next generations. Being a global citizen requires us as people to care about others and care about changing the world for the betterment of the environment, the society, and all the people living in it. Start with the future of our world, the children, if you want to make a change; that is what we plan to do with our project.
Little Things can make a difference and they do have the potential to change someones life.4/25/2017 Our group will buy the supplies (envelopes, paper) this weekend and we will write the letters and deliver them next weekend. The letters will be simple and will end with a bible scripture since our school is christian faith based. We will upload pictures when we buy the supplies and are writing the letters. |
AuthorI chose to do the project Letters for Kids because writing inspirational and motivational letters to these kids will make them feel happy and loved. Little kids love getting letters. Archives
