I need to speak to my group more often. Nothing has really been done. We haven't spoke about it at all lately and need to do so quick. Lack of communication is a big issue here and in our community. it must be fixed if we want to succeed all together
We haven't really made any progress other than planning and talking to everyone that is involved. We spoke as a group and decided about what was our goal we were trying to influence. We spoke and figured out our plans dn how everything is going to play through.
Throughout this week i was not able to do anything i planned. Family business came up this past weekend which stopped me from making any progress.
Over Winter break i was able to spend time with my family. On Christmas day me and my family mad care packages and made lunch for the homeless families around our neighborhood. It was a great experience and was good seeing everyone smile. Anyways my mother has the pictures. i will get it from her ASAP.What is our topic & Why is it important to do action-research on? - Our topic is trying to help people below poverty. We must do research to know the exact number. We must be 100% about this topic and must find everything there is to know. Who is our group & what at is are the steps we will execute for the Kahiau over the Winter break? - Bryson, Kekai, Aidan, Rapanui. The steps we can take over break is to talk to the non-profit organization. We can start getting care packages ready for us to hand out when we get back. What have I found challenging about this project so far? This project is challenging because we don't exactly meet all the requirements it takes to volunteer for organization What do I expect to learn / get out of this project? I want to learn about others and how people live below poverty Who am I tapping for assistance in my community or at home to get this done? I will be asking my sponsors, any Dorm Advisors that have stuff they want to give our plan is to Volunteer at a non-profit organization that is focused around helping the less fortunate such as IHS or the institute for Human Services. if we are not able to volunteer at any of these places me and my group will be making care packages and handing them out ourselves around honolulu.
