We have not made much progress on our project. We hope to achieve cleaner land and to preserve the earth. We have not made any changes yet.
What is our topic & Why is it important to do action-research on?
Our problem is Pollution. It is important because pollution damages the earth so the quicker we resolve pollution the quicker the earth can heal. Who is our group & what is are the steps we will execute for the Kahiau over the Winter break? Our group consists of Me, Liam, Gannon, Noelle, and the other Elijah. Over winter break we will do a beach clean up. What have I found challenging about this project so far? I find the constant uploading of blogs difficult because I need to find new things to say each time. What do I expect to learn / get out of this project? I expect to learn more about my group members and more about pollution. Who am I tapping for assistance in my community or at home to get this done? My family. A problem in Mexico is air pollution. Air pollution is a large and growing concern for Mexico City. Experts have said that Mexico City’s air pollution has gone from one of the cleanest in the world to one of the worst in the world in the span of a generation. Air pollution causes around 14,000 deaths per year. There are many causes to this pollution. It is said that there are three major reasons for the pollution. They are the large number of vehicles, rapid industrialization, and bad geographical location. There is a large population of people in Mexico, roughly 127.5 million people. Due to this they are quite overcrowded and about 75% of the population leans on cars to travel. This releases many harmful gasses into the skies. These gasses heavily contribute to pollution and climate change. This pertains to us because we are struggling with pollution here in Hawaii.
Pollution prevention is important because many peoples lives around the world are affected by and lost because of pollution. Not only human lives are affected and lost but animals as well. We as humans should try our best to prevent pollution as much as we possibly can.
