The skills I learned in World History will obviously be useful to me as I go into college and for the rest of my high school career. I will be able to use photoshop, peel writing, and be able to take notes from the many flip lectures I was able to learn about. With the overall skills, I have learned and the growth of these concepts I know that when I become a senior note-taking will be easier, writing paragraphs which make me have to go for a deeper understanding of a concept will be more bearable and my understanding will be shown to my teacher. This doesnʻt mean I didn't know of any of these skills before this year but it is thanks to the number of times we used these skills that I was able to build up from the foundation I made in middle and high school. Then the application of notes is one of the most important things to learn in high school once you are able to make quality notes your writing sounds confident and precise. We have learned about WWI and WWII and seen all the overall pain and hardships that countries faced during this time.
The new skills I never used were Photoshop and the number of notes I have ever done. With the usage of Photoshop people can put out a great way of creating pictures and beautiful artwork to amplify the point they want to get across. When I created my picture for my Hawaiian leader and World leader I was able to say for a surety that this looks really cool because I made it and tried to show something interesting that can catch people's attention. The Kahiau project the group has been working on is life below water. The issue is a much more modern problem as the growth of plastic and pollution continue to grow rapidly. With the care of the environment above water and the overall pollution growth, this topic should be a stronger aspect of our minds. With the new mandate in Hawaii to minimize the plastic in our environment, I find that the steps are going in the right direction.
