Colonization impacts my Kahiau project by the expansions we made which as a side effect caused climate change. We see this problem in the past but mainly present and we know that if it is not fixed it will really effect us in the future. The effects of colonization really hurts us and we are being forced to change our modern efforts to meet this challenge. I say this because if we keep doing what we are doing the climate will keep on rising and make earth uninhabitable. This is making us become more eco friendly to try and revert all the damage we did to the earth's climate.

What is the most important connection between World History and current event advocacy?
The most important connection between World History and current event advocacy would be learning the past and what comes in the future. I would say this because in order to learn and develop we have to know the past whether it was good or bad triumphs. With this information, we are able to help and show our support when it comes to the problem at hand. Which would be advocacy we help our community and our peers by being educated on the topic and showing support so they are not alone. Strength comes in numbers so the more people that know the problem the better it is to be handled.

What is the most impactful idea or concept that you have gained through the Rock Your World Curriculum (guest speakers and facilitators) about the importance of media advocacy in how this generation will create solutions to global/worldwide problems?
An important concept I gained through the Rock Your World Curriculum was that we have a voice and we need to share it. Especially in this day and age, it is so easy to show our opinion on the matter at hand. Everything is a click away and we can say what we want to say and get support from others on the internet. This generation will be able to solve problems by spreading the word on social media and ways to help fix these problems. We are already using the internet to help and solve problems whether big or small and this will improve even more in the future.

I think one way the events of the Silk Road had an impact on The Un Goal I chose to study which was climate change is Colonization. These correlate with each other because since there was soo much people we had to branch out and start building new town and villages to live. Since we are building and taking things away from the earth it is affecting the climate.
We now face this problem today since we weren't wise we now have global warming and phenomenon that are not supposed to happen. We can see this all over the world and we have to do something to reverse the affect before it is too late. Climate change is a very important topic and it needs to be focused on so we can live on this world longer with no problems. This is our one and only earth so we need to take care of it so we can keep living on it.
