Using what we learned from the past, we can help others better understand and prepare for what happens in the future. Knowing these things in history as well as our culture will help us find solutions to problems here in Hawaii because with this knowledge we could support each other as one community and society. We’ll be able to tell others how these things could affect ourselves as well as our communities. There were many things in the past that challenged us to come up with ways to deal with them. So, knowing our history and culture will help us find solutions for problems in the future, as well as working better together.
