Yes this year was valuable and interesting because we were taught how to write PEEL Paragraphs the correct way, we learned about history of course, and how to organize our notes/thoughts. An example of this would be our Flipped notes lectures, where we need to take notes off a video, learn about the past, and we still need to do a PEEL at the end as a summary. I really liked the PEEL paragraphs because it helped me write a good paragraph. 2 new skills that I learned that I used for my other classes were definitely, photoshop, and Illustrator. What I liked best about photoshop was that I was able to learn how to take something from a photo and only keep that one thing. And then for illustrators it is the same for photoshop but you're putting it all together as a poster. I have used these applications for my classes because I needed to make posters for that class.
An interesting topic that I learned about was one of the flipped notes which was, “Guns, Germs, and Steel,” It was interesting because it explained how diseases come to be, and where they came from. They even explained the reasons why they are still here. The Kahiau project connects to history and current day issues because they kinda have similar problems or situations that start things.
