Poverty Shift during the Agricultural Revolution to Industrial Revolution
The shift from the Agricultural Revolution to the Industrial Revolution created poverty in Great Britain. As time passed, many things have been developed and technology grew bigger. According to the notes taken, there are a number of advantages and disadvantages to the Agricultural Revolution. In addition to that, the Industrial Revolution brought significant social changes. Both Revolutions made a change to our world and affected Great Britain in a way where poverty became an issue.
People are always trying to invent and discover new things. To help them they are building factories in order to help them and that is ruining our environment. Also, everyone was worried about making money which leads to people with money having more power. With the power, they put kids to labor and they were poor while the people with money kept getting richer. The similar thing now is people working minimum wage. Poverty in Hawaii is a very serious issue. The poverty rate in Hawaii is 10.3%. Basically saying that every one of 9.7 people live in poverty. Also said on a website, “143,148 of 1,383,246 residents reported income levels below the poverty line in the last year.” Thatʻs a lot! Hawaii is 5th in the nation for the Poverty rate. The top race that leads this poverty stat is Hawaiians. We got to do better. Citations

REVOLUTION!!!
The criteria that sets up Revolution to begin was inequality. Fairness was very important which was not shown to be common in France. One important thing was that the people tried to fight against their own government thinking they would win just to gain status and power. In addition to that, the 3rd estate, called the peasantry, were always outvoted, which has created a war, which led to arguments, battles, and the French Revolution.

EXCHANGE FOR THE BETTER!
We believe that Exchanges impacted globalization which set up our Kahiau Project topic because we noticed that poverty was so common around the world and wanted to change that. We learned about how diseases and also people are exchanged which shows poverty because they are slaves, extremely poor, and don’t meet the standards of an average resident. Things that impact homelessness are a lot of tourists, expensive housing, and the increasing of populations on our island. When our population increases, the prices rise which people can’t afford so that leads to poverty. In modern America and Modern Hawai’i, some things we exchange are money for food, clothing, transportation, or other items. For example, the most common exchange is cash for items such as food, clothing, and silverware. Hawaiʻi is known for exchanging pineapples, sugar, and wood/plants. Some examples of how we can be prepared to handle the challenge of “poverty” with the exchanges in the Independent Hawaiian Nation is by using a barter system instead of the US money system. How we can be prepared on a National basis, with our current government is, by giving more and implanting more trade opportunities.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT
The two philosophers that relate to our Kahiau project are Baruch Spinoza and Adam Smith. Baruch Spinoza is from Amsterdam, Netherlands and Adam Smith is from Kirkcaldy, United Kingdom. Baruch Spinoza had extremely naturalistic views of God , the world, humans and the knowledge to serve the moral ground of philosophy centered on the control of the passions leading to virtue and happiness. People who are poor typically pray a lot asking God to help them and are firm believers in God. Adam Smith said “The real tragedy of the poor is the poverty of their aspirations.” This impacts our Kahiau project in modern Hawaiʻi because it shows good leadership skills.
One of the biggest result of the Industrial Revolution that greatly affected the world of today and our Kahiau Project topic was ideas and inventions from the Enlightenment Theorist. John Locke, one of the theorists of the time, was known for his leadership and knowledge. His contribution to humanity pushed us to the age of today. Another big impact of the Industrial Revolution that greatly affected the world is the Technological Revolution that occurred at that point in time. The idea of water-powered machinery and steam engines pushed the revolution into a more advanced era. These inventions lead to modern-day cars, vans, trains, and more locomotives. Making change easier and more possible in todayʻs world. Two propelling factors that occurred during the era of expansion, was cash crops and also technology was the two of the biggest factors. The affect from both of those systems brought not only money but attention to the islands. For example sugarcanes brought many people to be aware of trading. Another factor was trading because it showed that other colonies or places on earth were more wealthier than others, which lead to tradings. But is also has added to poverty because not only goods were being traded, but people were too.It impacts our group not too much because of the positive affect it is. Technological inventions help us to do our work much easier and faster compared to how much harder things were before technology was introduced. Imperialism is a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force and by this definition, is has greatly impacted our Kahiau Project. One propelling factor that happened was Haunnai Kay Traskʻs video when callers called. She explained how there were two sides to everything for instance, National identities vs Native identities and what is by force vs by choice. Her wise words on this topic impact our Kahiau Project because she explains how we our Kingdom was taken over, which shouldn't have happened and also lead to poverty in Hawaiʻi. Another factor was trading. It was happening all across the world, but some for a good cause, and some for a terrible cause. This also lead to poverty because people didn't have much as others did.
