We were Originally going to The Salvation army and they did not have open time frames that matched with the project so we then went to The food bank and then again they did not have times open to match the project due date, We then finally emailed lanakila meals on wheels. Nothing to be honest I personally was waiting for Kyla to text us when the dates were to go. Even though we havenʻt went to the actual community service yet. I am hoping that me and my group can change the island even by a little bit. What could have gone better was if they emailed us earlier and we got the chance to help. I compensated for this with patience. Yes it is improving because now I know what humanity is like and what poverty actually looks like cause all I saw was the news and pictures and videos but I have never seen it in person. Reflecting back on your knowledge of your Kahiau Project Topic, the UN Sustainable Goals, and the purpose and intent of the Kahiau Project to learn about and apply your own leadership values to a real world problem in our community…answer the following reflection: What impacted my growth was my table mates because they pushed me to do better in my work and try to find different answers to a single question. What affected my motivation was just friends, thatʻs about it. It was just friends that motivated me even though there wasnʻt a grade to keep pushing and finish the work so I am caught up in everything. The responsible things were geography and coal, simply coal because they used it to power almost everything, they put it into steam engines and reused the coal to sell to other nations because it was so abundant. The geography part was because of how their land was mad. It made it easier to get coal and since they were abundant it made them lots of money to expand their land to get even more resources and since our own islands are small, it is difficult to get resources here. Europe became the most dominant cause china kept on failing on revolutionizing their works.
