I think that some of the skills and content we learned in world history were valuable, I did not find a lot of the topics interesting, but perhaps the information will be useful in future classes throughout my high school career. I think learning about significant events in history were of value and learning about new religions really expanded my knowledge into other cultures perspectives and practices. What I liked about photoshop was that I got to learn how to make my own posters and take the pieces of an image that I wanted instead of the whole thing. I would use these applications for future projects because the use of photoshop expands the possibilities of what I can do. An interesting topic that weʻve learned about so far was the segment on religion. I didnʻt know much about religions in the first place so it was a very informative experience and I'm glad I got to learn about the different religions and compare them to each other.I think the Kahiau project connects skill with history and current day issues by showing how we can use what we learned about the past and put it forward into the future. For example we know that climate change is a thing and how the industrial revolution affected global warming. The major increase in the burning of gasses and fossil fuels led to an increase in gasses trapped in the atmosphere. ʻO Stella koʻu inoa, No Oʻahu mai au. The experience from selecting my leaders to selecting my pics to editing to putting it together and presenting was a learning one. I definitely acquired some new skills in terms of the use of photoshop and using it to create said presentations. I feel that the iLeader Project will help me in the future when I need to do similar projects like it, especially when using photoshop and making posters. The part of the process that I enjoyed the most was finally putting the edited pieces of the poster together because I got to see how everything would fit together. I chose my leaders because both of them were important in their roles for their countries, in Japan Saigo Takamori led the Meiji Revolution as well as showing the traits of a leader. He was strategic with his actions and that led to the success of the overthrow. I chose Kalaniʻopuʻu because he showed that he put his people first, for example gifting his sacred mahiole and ahuʻula to the white men in order to show a symbol of trust and friendship.
