The people in the group for this project are Michael, Cody, Kauanoe, and I, and our topic is about air pollution. The slogan or the message that our group is proposing is that we are going to “try to end the panic,” or in Hawaiian itʻs “E ho ʻa ʻo i pau kuhihewa. This means that we are going to try our best to help solve problems like air pollution, because it is harming to our environment. The experience when working with this group on this collaborative project was a good experience, and I enjoyed doing it. It allowed me to see what other people thought about a certain topic, and I like that we were working in groups because it allowed us to work together and create more results. I donʻt think that it got submitted to the Planet911 Competition because it wasnʻt the highest quality video and It didnʻt meet the higher standards for competition videos. I think that it could be better because we could have spent more time on it so that it would be the best that it could be, and also so that it creates a bigger and deeper message for those that watch the video. How I could improve on this process on a 2nd try is that I would communicate way more with my group to see what they are going to do, what they were thinking or planning on doing, and making sure that we all do our part of the project to make it better.

My group involved Me, Leilani, Khyren, Melina, and PK. Our topic was about being able to teach about ocean pollution and how to be sustainable. Our slogan was “Turtles in plastic, arent very ecstatic. My experience in this project was pretty good and fun because the work seemed to be divided up evenly and everyone contributed making the project easy. The project did get submitted but it didn’t win, however, our job was to spread awareness and not to try and win. Next time ill try harder to take more time to research our topic and make ourselves a little more organized.

My group was Keola, Jayce, me and Treyson. Our topic was about poverty and we wanted to provide simple ways people could help deal with it. We had an ʻolelo noʻeau as a slogan. To summarize it, it was talking about how a nation cannot develop when there's poverty and to help others in need. My overall experience was okay but it was kind of hard because I was responsible for putting together the video and uploading it and I'm not that good with that kind of responsibility. I’m not entirely sure if it was submitted to the competition or not. I feel like we could improve the overall quality of the project because I feel like each of our individual videos were kind of rushed. If we took more time making it I think we could've done a little better. We also could have communicated more on how we wanted to make it.
Leilani
My group was Christian, Leilani, Khyren, Meilina, and Pk. Our topic was about ocean pollution and we wanted to spread knowledge about ocean pollution in a way that was catchy and easy for people to remember. The slogan we chose was, “Turtles in plastic aren't very ecstatic!” My experience with this project was good. Doing these sorts of things forces people who might not work together normally to find similarities in their beliefs and try to turn that into something. I believe it got submitted but we didn’t make it because of the lack of solution throughout the video. It was more to spread the topic. For me personally, I think that everyone had their own individual ideas of what the project should look like. This meant that it maybe did not come out as cohesive as it could have been. So next time I think that we should make it very clear what we want and why.
Apuakea
My groupmates were Kaao, Kapono, and Tyli. The topic was coral bleaching. My group’s slogan was climate change is here and it is happening now. This experience helped me develop my video editing skills and I am proud of the work I did. The video got submitted to the Planet911 Competition and it was one of the finalists. I would improve the quality of the voice-over because there is an alarm going off in the background and a lot of echo.
