As we've seen in our history studies, colonization has an effect on good health and well-being. The act or method of settlement among and gaining influence over an area's indigenous people is known as colonization. Waikiki is an example of colonization taking place in Hawaii. Waikiki is a tourist hotspot with a high level of luxury. On the other hand, many native Hawaiians are homeless in other parts of Oahu, such as Waimanalo. When a person is homeless, their health is always not as good as when they have a home, which has an effect on their health. Since some native Hawaiians are in need as a result of imperialism, this affects our modern efforts to address these challenges. Many Hawaiians have lost their homes, cultures, and religion in the past since they conquered Hawaii. This is why attempting to meet these obstacles is so difficult. Imperialism alters our perceptions of these events because we now realize what happened and what imperialism is. Imperialism is a strategy of using diplomacy or military action to expand a country's strength and influence. Understanding imperialism, I believe, aids our search for a solution because the more you know, the simpler it is to address. While imperialism had a negative impact on Hawaii, it did have some positive outcomes. It broadened our horizons and opened our eyes to new possibilities. For example, imperialism has provided us with many opportunities that we did not have previously. As a state-led Hawaii, you can gain a better understanding of others. Work Cited

The industrial age and the revolutions that occur because of its set up and impact my Kahiau Project Topic which is “Healthy Community, Healthy Lahui”. During the french revolution and the industrial age, many people were getting diseases and widespread epidemics. The reason behind this was because of the overpopulation, living conditions, working conditions, and the conditions of their homes. One of the main epidemics during that time was tuberculosis. Current affairs are one of the factors that affect world history. Current events are relevant because they keep us updated on what is going on in the world. Many occurrences repeat themselves throughout history, and we are mostly unaware of them. We might make a difference by evaluating and lobbying for a current event that we study.

Good health and well-being plays a major part of empires back then and the present world right now. Empires have evolved over the centuries and I think that one of the biggest evolutions that happened was Agriculture. The first people started out by hunting and foraging. Then they got the idea to make their own food by planting vegetables and plants so they can live. Without food many of the empires started to fall so the people had find a new way to live. To make their own foods, and grow their own resources. And around the 1500’s they made this thing called cash crops. Cash crops are farming but instead, they sell their food. For example, in ancient Hawaii, we started to make sugarcane fields and that was a really big business. How do you think the events of the Silk Road, Exploration, Expansion & Enlightenment impact the UN Goal & Kahiau Topic that you chose to study. Exploration is still a pretty big thing nowadays too. Back then it was to find more land but now with the right technology people are exploring planets. We evolved big time, with innovations and technologies. It is important to me as a lahui to be able to see, analyze, and understand things in 2020 because we are the next generation. And to do it for our ancestors that never had the chance. Citations
