The industrial age continues to affect our environment. It affects us because people in Syria are bombing each other because of the oil industry. The rebels took oil and the government bombed them. 3)How does this impact our "challenge" in its local version of Hawaiʻi nei? (Nai’a)
This impacts our “challenge” in its local version of Hawai’i because of Gov. Ige willingly saying that Hawai’i will welcome any Syrian refugees. “So many people were outraged. So many! And their dissent seemed to mostly boil down to: “There’s not enough room in Hawai‘i for refugees. Sorry, not sorry.” Local people don’t want to accept any more refugees due to the fact that we already have a lot of people here and had refugees from Micronesia. Locals also say that they have enough problems and issues overpopulation. Refugees are able to wait for the facts that Hawaii has homeless and their own refugees still.
