Different Leadership traits have an impact that leverages the resources or ʻāina. For example, Johannes Gutenburg is a German inventor who created the printing press. The printing press is able to produce 3,600 pages a day making it more convenient than making paper by hand. Not only did the printing press play a huge step in not only a technological sense, but an economical and social sense as well. Since it was so convenient and could produce paper quickly, this machinery made it easier to spread the news. This benefited the workers that had helped Gutenburg with his early printing experiments. They then taught the art to other folks who also became printers. This then lead to incredible things being created, but most importantly it became a convenient way of passing information from one another.

The printing press made it easier to pass on information which was incredibly useful in the middle ages. This lead to different scientists to be able to spread research among themselves. Creating a little community of innovative minds that help progress the scientific revolution. This also helped spread the news and information which helped the people discover corrupt government officials. This spread of information played a crucial part in revolutions. This means that his creativity and innovative mind had an influence that leveled the power dynamic. His leadership created something incredible that helped not only leverage the people in the power dynamic between government and people but help advanced human research and knowledge.

Geography impacts the resources/ʻāina a group controls in various ways. For example, if a group finds themselves in dry, deserted places, it is required of them to utilize crops and animals of the area. It is also required of them to find ways to make/have a water source. Another way geography impacts the resources/ʻāina a group controls is that the geographical placement one might find themselves in may be viable for only certain kinds of resources (crops, animals, other goods), in which they would trade for with other groups. This could start a co-dependent relationship where it is possible the two groups would depend on one another for goods that the other does/doesn’t have, or this could possibly grow into an alliance, rallying together to survive against the (geographic) conditions and/or the other civilizations/groups.

Geography would impact the way a civilization evolves and behaves towards other groups in many ways. One way would be that a civilization might see another civilization as weak, due to heavy trading between both groups. Another way, like stated in the previous paragraph, is that the groups/civilizations would find prosperity and peace banding together, and alliances could be formed, in comparison to other civilizations/groups who choose to stay acquainted within trades or geographic closeness and nothing more, saving less conflict for both groups, while the other still has a chance for it. This could spark behaviors of positive and negative notion, as shown by the two examples expressed above. In conclusion, geography impacts the resources, ʻāina, behavior, and evolution within a civilization/group, in comparison to others, through various different expressions.

It can be argued that the character traits of a leader of a group can definitely affect the value system of a group of people. The leader is someone who calls the shots for their people. Most times the leader is someone reliable and for the people. Over the course of this school year we have been introduced to many different types of leaders. From Good leaders to shellfish leaders, it was cool learning about the different traits these leaders lacked and different traits the leaders were good at. An example of a good way of leading would be when Hawaiians were illegally overthrown and the queen of Hawaii was forced to make an immense decision for the rights of her small nation. Her people were ready to die for their home. Due to the fact that Hawaii was very small compared to America and the weapons the hawaiians had compared to America was low, the queen was smart enough to know if she had sent her people to war they most likely would have lost the battle. Many native Hawaiians would have lost their lives. The future of Hawaii would be broken. In my opinion that was a smart decision by the queen. The queen of Hawaii demonstrated a good trait. That trait was mercy. Sometimes it’s best to show mercy when you know you can’t win. You save yourself and a lot of others from a worser penalty in the future.
Bernice Pauahi Bishop was also someone who impacted her people heavily. One of the first things she did was make a school dedicated to the Hawaiian kids. This was very smart because she knew that in order to thrive in the world her people needed to be educated.

The role that sustainability rights play is vital to leverage resources for the civilizations that grow and evolve. The reason for it being vital for civilizations is because in order to grow and evolve you need to have resources to help you grow and evolve. Resources could be things like knowledge or other things like areas for living. Sustainability rights help preserve and manage the needed resources to make growing and evolving possible. If sustainability rights were stripped away, resources would not be sustained and could possibly die or run out. The way we get the knowledge is through others and
without management, there would most likely not have
any teaching. Other resources like livestock could possibly
go extinct as things like overhunting and wasting.

Sustainability rights will always be evolving with the civilization because the more we progress, the more resources we may need. An example of this is how we need and use a lot of things like gasoline, however, there are things like cars that are going electric. If in the future there are zero gas cars, the use of gasoline would decline and making it more abundant than now. Another example of this is how we overuse gas and how we didnʻt manage it properly. This may also lead to the zero gas car example.
