This year, the skills and content learned in World History is very valuable. The ability to take organized notes about videos and construct a well written PEEL is valuable. For example, for all of our flip lectures we were tasked to watch a video/ movie and take notes and answer questions to help us better understand what we are learning. When we are done taking notes we have to be able to follow the PEEL paragraph form and answer an essential question. The PEEL method is valuable because it not only strengthens our note taking skills but also strengthens the way we write by giving us a strong foundation. Another way that learning the PEEL method is valuable is being able to use it in other classes. One class that I can use this method in is English. PEEL would help me create strong essays because it will provide me with an outline and make sure I have all the needed information and sources. Another skill I learned that is valuable is researching. For example we had to research and compare two different leaders. In the beginning researching seemed really easy but after having a lesson with the librarian I learned that there are a lot of things that go into having accurate research. For example we shouldn't just search something up on google and believe it. We learned about credible sources like EBSCO. Learning this helped me find accurate information about my leaders and also beneficial for my research in other classes as well. Overall PEEL and researching were only some skills that were valuable and interesting.
