The experience was overall good. We took the process one step at a time, first focusing on their accomplishments and doing preliminary research. We then moved onto figuring out their core values and what made them an effective leader. I enjoyed working with photoshop posters on our leaders the most. We were able to grab the most interesting and defining facts about them, combine it with captivating graphics, an quotes, and we made cool posters. For my Hawaiian leader I ended up choosing Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. I originally chose him because I’ve heard his music before but I did not know much about him. Throughout the project I learned that he was a servant leader. He was passionate about his beliefs and stood with his people through thick and thin. One of his biggest accomplishments was stopping the bombing of Kaho’olawe.
