The skills I learned in world history were very valuable this year and I was able to learn time management and communication. For example, I learned time management as we are given a large amount of time to complete some of our assignments. We have a week to complete our reading and annotations. After a while, I started doing them on the first day of the week so I could relax over the weekend. I also learned how to communicate when we started doing our Kahiau Projects. I needed to communicate with my group to make sure we were all on the same page and also to bounce ideas off of one another. In conclusion, I learned a lot of vital things in World History this year besides the curriculum. An interesting topic we learned about this year was imperialism and how it appeared in the World wars. Which we learned through our flip lectures fourteen through fifteen. It was also really engrossing to see how our Kahiau Project SDG was shown through imperialism and the world wars. My groupʻs SDG is Health and Wellbeing through Quality Education. In this study of imperialism and world wars, I was able to see how imperialism caused a decrease in quality education. As the brutal war was the most important thing and the education of children was put second. Also in places like London, children were evacuated from the cities and therefore could not attend school. After World War 2 was over and children went back to school there were seven-year-olds who didnʻt even know the alphabet. And education was set back multiple years. The war didnʻt promote anyone's health. With the genocide, loss of food and resources, and danger that came with the world wars. It was very vital for me to learn all of this information. So that perhaps I can use it modernly as a threat of another world war exists.
