Impacts of the Human Species and factors of the Agricultural Revolution & Agrarian Empires6/16/2020 The Agricultural Revolution completely changed the human race. It caused the human race to go from being hunters and gathers to staying in one spot and getting the most out of the land. This included growing crops and it also led to the domestication of certain animals that opposed a benefit to humans. Now that humans could stay in one place, shelters became a lot better as well. These things caused the average lifespan of a human to go up substantially. Agriculture also introduced surpluses of food. This allowed people to work jobs other than acquiring food. In the Spanish Empire, one of these new jobs was mining. Mining for gold and silver created a new currency and gave a new meaning to wealth. A form of wealth other than food is what eventually led to more jobs being created and that is what led to our current day society. And what kickstarted it all was the idea of agriculture.
