1. What progress have you made on your project?
I finally organized some of the cans gathered and put it into a box with more of an order. We arenʻt going to give the box to the Hawaii food bank quite yet, but at least weʻre getting closer and getting more ready to that step. 2. Look at the essential questions and construct a written and video blog response for your Weebly weekly update. How is this project important to helping our local and global community? In our community, there is a very high homeless rate. Hawaii is the state with the most homeless in all of the U.S. Hawaii is only so big and there are only limited resources. Therefor, it makes it harder for the homeless to find food and needed resources. This project is helping them survive by giving them more food sources. How is my learning these particular leadership & technical skills of project management important to my future contribution to the Lāhui? It is important to our people because this project is keeping people alive. Although the homeless do come from other states and other countries, theyʻre still in Hawaii. Hawaii will always be one, we are all a family. So, we are helping our family stay alive so we can be stronger and more nourished in the future. 3. Are there any Changes to the plan .. what specifically will be your next 3 steps for the month of February? There are no changes, we still have the same plan by gathering, organizing, and shipping to distribute. We will still gather more cans if possible because more the merrier, and we already organized lots, but we still will need to keep up the organizing process as we collect more. Our main step we will be completing is getting all of our cans to the Hawaii food bank so they can then distribute it to the needy.
