I think that many things were learned from “The War to End all Wars”. I don’t think the right lessons were learned from this. Instead of learning world peace from it which would make that the actual “War to end all wars” the world learned that machine guns kill a lot more people than regular old rifles. There were also many technological advances that happened in this time. Planes were brought into the public eye and used for spying and attacking. For example, by the beginning of the war France only had around 400 planes and by the end of the war France had used around 4,500. I think this can be compared to the more recent event known as “The Space Race”. We see the impacts of this in my kahiau project topic so much today. We can see it as the kickoff to mankind creating new and advancing old technologies. This all can be traced to the industrial revolution and all of those actions directly lead to the hurt that our environment is experiencing today.
