My research topic is poverty. This topic was chosen because it is a big issue in not only Hawaiʻi but all over the world. Personal connection to this topic is that everyday no matter where I go I see homeless people on the side of the street asking for food. Also there are people who do have homes but have no access to food. This topic can can change the Hawaiʻi we live in because if there is less people on the streets and if there are more people fed then we could put the money and help towards other issues that need lots of attention. By solving one problem it leads way to solve other problems. I think that just by donating and helping to collect food can make a difference in the community because even if it is just a small amount at least some people are getting the help they need now. Helping others is important because we are supposed to help each other and work together, if we donʻt help these people we are only creating bigger problems for ourselves. Lessons that can be learned throughout this project is to be kind and always give back when you can. Try to help make a difference in someone's life. |
