The topic of our Kahiau group project is save the crave, which means providing food for those who are not able to afford it. There are many people who are not able to receive the essential necessities needed in life such as food. Helping the homeless is important because it not only affects them, but everyone else, also. We see the homeless living on the streets, in parks and beaches, all around our island with nothing to eat. They deserve to be able to have a meal and the right nutrition. In our group, we have Aislen Bacalso, Jaydeen Flores and Klaudia Watson. Over Winter Break, we plan on collecting canned goods in our communities and donating it to the Hawaiian Food Drive. It has been challenging to organize everything in order to carry out our project. We needed to figure out what problem we were going to help solve and what we need to do in order to solve it. From this project, I hope that I will realize that many people face the struggles of hunger and starvation. I expect to learn the lesson of being grateful for all that I am given because there are people all around the world who have nothing at all. With the assistance of my parents, I hope that I will be able to get this project done.
