For the Community Service, we planned on going to Hālona Cove doing a beach cleanup with 808 Cleanups on January 4th. So what ended up happening with the planned Community Service over winter break is that Logan did a Beach Cleanup on her island and could not participate with us but still did it. Chloe, Koa and I were supposed to head to Hālona Cove but it ended up just being Chloe, Koa, and Tristan. Tristan isnʻt in our group but he joined them, I did not end up going because I had problems with getting there on time. I felt really bad for not showing up but I was still willing to make the video for my group.
I am not sure what went well at the beach but I know that Koa and Chloe did show up and make it to the Community Service project. They said they had a good time and it was easier than they thought. What could have gone better though is that all of us were there and we did a bit better at planning. To compensate for this we all did our part and made this project and make this all happen with good communication. My understanding of the environment and helping improving because doing this project and makes me start to look at the bigger picture and how to help more. Itʻs like once you do it you unlock a new perspective on something new. I feel that itʻs a great feeling and opportunity to start diving more deeper into it rather than just staying on the surface. Yes, this Winter Community Service Assignment expanded my connection to and application of leadership skills by me planning out this by the date and time. I also connected everyone so they can communicate with each other if something went wrong or to share information more efficiently. |
