Action Plan
- Week 1: Have a rough draft for the foundation of explorer weebly website that includes a minimum 4 tabs that includes important information such as location, timeline, background information of his multiple voyages, and the life that he lived before/during/after his explorer occupation. - Week 2: Start constructing the world that surrounded him on Minecraft that includes 510 houses that would fit into that time period, water implements such as rivers, gulfs, and ponds because he was very water oriented, and the landscape. - Week 3: Continue to update the explorer website with more advanced settings now that the information will all be imputed. Also, to Include the more detailed aspects that can make the world in Minecraft come to life such as ships, animals, etc. - Week 4: Put the final touches on website and Minecraft projects to review all of the information is correct and in order, as well as go through Minecraft that I created and have a selftour of the world that I can present to my peers to make things easier for them to follow along and understand. Current Progress Report - I have made a continuous river that surrounds the perimeter of the land about 2 feet in width. It includes a boat dock right after entering through the door to create an illusion of sailing into his world. Parked at the dock is a wooden ship which is also one of the items on my action plan. - I have had assistance this week because this program is still fairly new to me. I'm picking up techniques quickly and am able to carry out steps by myself with time and practice. - A challenge that I've faced initially is figuring out how to gather different types of items and how to maneuver them so that it is faster and more efficient when placing. Overall, I find this software to be a fun way to portray our explorer's world in history.
