The three hotspots in the cold war were the Vietnam War, Korean War, and the Cuban crisis of Latin America. The lecture said the Vietnam war began because America wanted to expand communism throughout southern Asia. The second hot spot was the Korean war. It began as a civil war soon became a Cold War crisis involving major world powers. And the last hot spot was the Cuban crisis in Latin America. It was considered the flashpoint in the cold war.
