What are some examples of your research topic in your own island, community, state, nation? An example would be that we live in an economy that is unequal. Meaning that there is a dividend between the people who make a living and the people who struggle to make a living. In the community/state there are people who can afford. Why was this topic chosen by the group: what is a personal connection to the issue or just because you have to do something :) This was chosen by the group because we live in a state of economic equality, and we want to better understand it so we can help other people get out of this situation. If a personal connection (and please try to find at least one) - what is it and why? At home I do live in a economic equality state of well-being because my mom works hard but still can't make enough for our wealth. How can this topic change or improve the Hawaii we live in? For who? Does this audience connect with you in any way? If so, how & why.. do you have personal friends of family members that are or possibly could be in this audience? It improves us as people and leaders to share this knowledge with people who are willing to listen. Yes they will because I can connect my personal experience with it. What do you think of your ability to make an impact in the community & possibly make a difference in this issue? Honestly, we will have an impact to those who will listen and take in what we are advocating. In other uhbwords, it matters how people take it in. Why would that be important? What kinds of lessons do you think you will learn from this Kahiau experience? This is important because it builds connections and understandings with others. We will learn how to advocate and better understand how this problem affects us as individuals and us as a society.
