From the last time we heard from our sponsors, they said that we can do things on our own. They told us great advice as to "starting in your own backyard". They told us that we can start at home and at school to make a difference. We plan to clean up around school and to schedule a time to go to the beach soon. Right now, we plan to find another sponsor to kind of help us with our beach clean up. But for now, me and my group members plan to do the best we can on cleaning up at school and at home.

AuthorMy name is Kaylee-Brooke Manuel and I attend Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus. I was born and raised in Nanakuli on the island of O'ahu. Why is this project important?
I donʻt want to see something I love be ruined by debris. Every Sundays, my cousins and I would go to the beach till sunset. We would also go camping in the summers at Nānākuli beach park, swimming all day making memories with my family. The beach is a big part of my life and I wouldn't want to see it filled with waste.
