"Kahiau Project, Digital Learning via Distance & Student Lāhui Leadership"I feel like from day 1 to day 30 i have improved of the quality of work about history that i produced in World History. I would rate myself a five, 0 being worse & 5 being best, because over the course i learned how to work more efficiently and be more time manageable and organized. I think from day 1 to day 30, I would rate myself a five, 0 being worse & 5 being best, because of the improvement of the quality of digital application i produced in World History. In the beginning i was not too familiar with the technical things on my laptop like photoshop and illustrator for example so this class helped me learn how to do these types of things for the future. I would rate myself a 5 on the improvement of the independence & self-organization/direction i have exhibited. I have learned how to work on my own and making sure i am staying on top of my school work without having constant reminders and being told what to do all the time and this helped me be more organized and keep myself focused on things. I think that the work/learning was quite interesting, valuable, & added to my knowledge base. I did not know most of the things that ive learned before this class and this helped me get a clearer view of the past and of the world and be more aware of the things that have happened and things that are still happening. Making better connections between historical events & current events can be helpful to me in the future because i will be able to relate things to each other and see the differences and similarities and maybe even determine the possible outcomes. The Kahiau project has been valuable in learning Project management, applying digital & critical thinking, making connections between historical events & current issues we face. It helped us learn more about the world and different cultures that we did not know before and help us create a better understanding of things.

"Empirical Globalization in the 21st Century"The National Independence Day for the Nation of Hawaiʻi is called Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea and it is coming up soon. Our Hawaiian families have to balance the need to compete in European/Western sense for resources of land, home, career with our Native values and identities all while protecting the future of our Lāhui. Our Hawaiian families are having to fight for resources and land and even their homes against foreigners and people who have come to Hawaiʻi to experience "paradise". There is a lot of diversity throughout Hawaiʻi which can be good but also can be bad to the Native Hawaiians. An example of how Hawaiians are having to fight for these things is the percentage of Hawaiian blood to qualify for Hawaiian homes which is 50%. Many Hawaiians are upset because the percent of how much Hawaiian you are shouldn't justify if you're Hawaiian or not. All of Hawaiʻi is Hawaiian homes and thats how it should be instead. We can make sure that our Native people are valued in this modern world by fighting for whats ours and not letting others take advantage of us. I can use the gift and privilege of your education at Kamehameha to ensure that the native identities of our Lāhui and other peoples of color remain steadfast in the 21st Century in many ways. I can use the resources that Kamehameha Schools gives me access to, to become more aware of what is happening and ultimately take a stand. I can make sure that our native identity is set in stone for now and forever and fighting for whats right. Some examples of things that we can do is starting to teach more of this things in school and make sure students and kids understand these type of things. We can also try and make a better place for the next generation and a safer and fairer world.

The new dominant empire can compare to its predecessors like Britain, Rome, and other Empires. America has many problems that are ongoing compared to these other empires. For example, the black lives movement and protest against police brutality are one of the major events that are currently happening. Some differences and similarities between their management of their country are how they are handling the corona virus situation. The united kingdom took a strict course of action by telling the people of the UK that they must stay home and only can leave the comfort of their homes for the basic necessities and to exercise once a day. However, America has implemented basic rules of social distancing and has given each state an opportunity to create its own rules on how they want to go about handling this pandemic. We can see the effects of these choices now in the number of cases that these empires have with the UK having 287,621 confirmed cases and 44,602 deaths compared to the whooping 3,165,058 confirmed cases and the 135,094 deaths in the United States. America currently occupies the nation of Hawaiʻi after wrongfully overthrowing the Hawaiian monarchy. The U.S. overthrew the Hawaiian nation after being declared its sovereignty and independence from other countries around the world. The U.S. held and forced King David Kalākaua at gunpoint to sign a constitution that would give up most of his power and the right for the Hawaiian people. America cruelly annexed the Hawaiian nation and overthrew a thriving monarchy.

They want to be prepared for an aggressive china and a less reliable US partner. They will use this money to get things like better naval and air forces, ammunition, and fuel storage. They have already spent $800 million on a AGM-158C long-range anti-ship missile from the US Navy. They want to be ready for the Chinese military off of Australia’s coast.
My initial reaction to this article is that I was quite surprised but it was very understandable. Australia is preparing for a more dangerous world which is true especially with things like the economy at stake due to the whole ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus. This article can affect the US and even Hawai’i because Australia is only 5,652 miles away from Hawai’i and this can be alarming for us. If they are preparing and getting all of these new military things we should be preparing as well. Westcott, B. (2020, July 01). If Germany was not treated unfairly and was forced to give up lands and pay compensation, Hitler would have not wanted to get revenge and ultimately not start World War 2. The outcome of Germany would have been a lot better as well as for the rest of the countries and people. By treating Germany like this, they started to rely on their own and started becoming a part of Nationalism. The World War 1 and the Treaty of Versailles made an impact on the issue in my Kahiau Project which is homelessness. The main effect of the treaty is that the Germans were treated unfairly and had to give up things and the punishment was quite harsh. Many homeless are also treated poorly and are neglected and seen as less than others. In reality they are still human just like anyone else and should be treated the same. I think unfairness makes an impact because if we treated everyone good and fairly then people would be finding solutions and willing to help others like the homeless. An example, of an issue here is the Mauna Kea and the TMT movement which the government is treating Hawaiian lands unfairly and are constructing on sacred lands.

I think it can relate but it was nothing to do with food. However, i think the principles relate to it. For example, the Mathusian Flux theory is if food production is growing at X rate and the population is growing at a much faster Y rate. This is like if the black community is struggling to stay alive and get freedom while the other societies or communities freedom are continuously growing. Although it may not be apparent, it is known that the Malthusian Flux theory plays a very large role in homelessness. The more our population grows, so do the numbers of waste, and the numbers of those who are not able to be fed. For a while, they have been world hunger and people are living in the streets starving not know where their next meal will come from. The Malthusian Flux Theory is about how the population increases at a faster rate than itʻs resources. This problem occurs in Hawaii especially because we waste over 237,000 tons of food which is equal to over 26% of the food supply. By wasting and not taking care of the food that we have today we are slowing down our resources and speeding up the population.
