How does this align with Global Citizenship? How does it affect you and your community in 2017?
Our project aligns with Global citizenship because we are looking to help those around us. Global citizenship is looking beyond yourself to make a difference and help others. Our project of donating cans is part of global citizenship because it will give aid to those who need food in our local communities and creates awareness for everyone to do the same. As each of our group members go through their own community to gather canned goods they are involving others in their own community to aid other people in all other communities. This affects me and my community because as people of one community come together to help other communities around us, we can make a difference in global citizenship. I feel like our project is also sharing a message of awareness to the people in our communities to give to those who are in need. This year I feel that it affects us to help beyond our own community, but through our own community so that everyone is involved in this project to donate cans. This project influences others that we "CAN DO" things to help others, even through the simplest ways.
