I learned that advocating can be used in different mediums. Today, we learned how to express our feelings or emotions through poems. My poem was a bout poverty and I talked about how it was a bad position to be in. I liked this assignment better than just strait up writing because it can be more engaging and stick out more to the reader. My first poem is about how people in poverty have a hard time every single day and can’t get out of their situation. The last line I used emphasizes that there really is no hope when it comes to getting back on their feet by themselves. Furthermore, we can aid these people in need and wish that they can be more happier. In my poem, I tried to visualize how homeless people, if they don't receive help, they can't help themselves.
